Variations on Was Lebet to feature as set test at French Open

Variations on Was Lebet has been selected as the set-test piece for 1st Section of the 30th French Open, to be held in Amboise on the weekend of 5-7 June 2026. Based on the German chorale 'Was Lebet' (O worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness), the work, made up of five contrasting variations, was written in 2017. It was also selected as the set test for the 2026 UK Regionals Championships and, previous to that, the 2022 Swiss Nationals (2nd Division) and 2024 Dutch Nationals (2nd Division).
