The Smoke that Thunders
The Orchestral Music of Andrew Wainwright
This EP (Extended Play) features seven orchestral works that reflect a range of personal inspirations. The title track, The Smoke That Thunders, pays tribute to the composer's early life where as a child living in southern Africa he had the opportunity to visit the magnificent Victoria Falls. It later served as inspiration for a piece of music, and the result was this work, which charts David Livingstone’s remarkable journey to discover one of the wonders of the world.
